This online edition of the Hutchinson Herald supplements the weekly print edition of the Herald, providing additional photos, features and online links to community resources.

The print edition, published every Thursday, is available by subscription and single-copy sales at the Second Century Publishing office at 308 S. Main Street in Freeman. Single copies are also available at the Total Stop Food Store on Highway 18 in Menno and at Heritage Health Center on Fifth Street in Menno.

High alert

Andrew Schaeffer (22), a sophomore on the Menno High School basketball team, looks downcourt during the Wolves’ 64-46 loss to the Freeman Flyers Tuesday, March 4 during the District 9B Boys Basketball Tournament in Freeman. While Dylan Lehr led the Menno squad with 11 points in the effort, Schaeffer contributed 10 points and 8 rebounds in the loss. The Menno Wolves went 1-1 in the tournament having beaten Marion Monday evening, March 3. Dustin Lehr led the scoring effort in that matchup by posting 20 points against the Bears. He was followed by Chet Peterson with 15. Caleb Preszler led the team in rebounds with 9. The tournament was won by the Parker Pheasants, who defeated the Freeman Flyers 70-44 to advance to the Region 5B championship against Centerville.
