Puppy love
Hailey Hall, a student at Menno Elementary School, holds a yellow laborador puppy at the petting zoo organized by the Menno chapter of Future Farmers of America Friday afternoon, Feb. 21. Hall was one of dozens of students at Menno Public School who visited the petting zoo, which was held in the shop area adjacent to the agriculture room. The petting zoo was one of a handful of activities organized by the Menno FFA chapter as part of their observation of National FFA Week, which was held Feb. 16 through Feb. 22. In addition to the petting zoo, the organization also held a breakfast for school staff members Thursday, Feb. 20 and visited classrooms at the school to share information on agriculture and how it impacts the lives of millions of people everyday, even if they don’t live on the farm. For more images from the Menno FFA petting zoo, see pages 6 and 8 of this week's print edition of the Hutchinson Herald.
