Auctioneer Maurice Bueber, center, with Wintersteen Auction, takes bids on items from the Olivet Community Center Thursday evening, June 26 in Olivet. Up for bids were items that had been used by visitors and guests at the center, which had originally served as the Olivet school building, for decades. Items up for auction included historical items from school and community history, such as an Olivet High School letter jacket, several framed class photos from the first half of the century as well as many vintage photographs. Several dozen people were on hand for the sale. The items were being offered for sale after the community center closed its doors recently.
