History comes alive
Jim and Pam Voehl, portraying Abraham and Mary Lincoln at the Menno City-School Auditorium Sunday afternoon, Sept. 8 as part of a fundraiser for the Menno Heritage Museum roof project. Jim Voehl has worked as an Abraham Lincoln presenter at over 700 events across the United States. Along with his wife, Pam, the granddaughter of August J. Hauck, he performed two pieces in front of several dozen spectators Sunday – a solo recounting of the Gettysburg Address and the events leading up to it as well as dual presentation depicting a conversation between the 16th president of the United States and his wife that featured Pam Voehl as Mary Lincoln
