Bands marched down Fifth Street with the Menno water tower in the distance. Hundreds of spectators turned out for the event, which is in its third year.

Community members and other interested parties gathered at the Menno High School football field to take in a performance by the University of South Dakota Marching Coyotes.
Members of the USD marching band got the crowd fired up prior to their performance.
The USD marching band is the second college marching band to attend the Menno Band Day event in the last three years. The Northern State University marching band participated in the event last year.
Much of the USD marching band is made up of students who are not music majors, according to representatives for the band.
