The hallways at Menno Public School were mostly empty Monday evening, Aug. 14, a week before the scheduled start of the 2017-18 school year. The official first day of school is set for Monday, Aug. 21. School will begin at 8:15 a.m. for all students, and students in grades 6 through 12 grade should report to the gym, after which students will report to their home rooms to have class meetings. An ad containing important school information can be found on pages 6 and 7 of the print edition of the Hutchinson Herald.
