Bailey Neuharth, 5, Menno, talks with Santa Claus during Santa Day and Appreciation Day at the Menno City-School Auditorium Saturday morning, Dec. 12. Many young children gathered to discuss Christmas requests with Santa while parents snapped pictures. The event, sponsored by the Menno Area Development Corporation, features a meal served to the public by members of the Menno and Olivet business community as a way to thank them for their patronage during the year. The event is traditionally well-attended, with most of the auditorium floor taken up by rows of tables. Santa Claus is portrayed Robert Rennolet, Menno.
