New city park facilities dedicated
A crowd waits for the dedication ceremony for the new Menno City Park restrooms to begin Tuesday evening, Sept. 1. The new facilities were dedicated in memory of Gail Guthmiller, who died when her house, located across the street from the new restrooms on Park Street, exploded due to a natural gas leak in August of 2010. The new building was completed thanks to work from the Menno City Council, South Dakota National Guard and a donation from NorthWestern Energy, which provides electric and natural gas utility services to Menno.
