Breaking up
A patch of crumbled asphalt reflects the deteriorating state of Poplar Street near the three-way intersection between Poplar Street, Fourth Street and Railway Street in Menno Monday afternoon, Nov. 24. The city of Menno recently secured a community access grant that will go toward the rebuilding of the stretch of Poplar Street between Fifth Street and Fourth Street. The street serves as a main artery for trucks and heavy equipment making their way to the Interstate Commodities, Inc. grain elevator.
