A cultural celebration

The event, being held for the 26th time this year, celebrates the tradition and culture of Germans from Russia, a group that settled much of Hutchinson County in the mid-to-late 1800s. About 500 tickets for the event was sold. Visitors to the event could enjoy a traditional buffet-style German meal as well as the performance by the band.

About 500 tickets were sold for the 2011 Oktoberfest. Visitors from around the region packed the Menno City-School Auditorium for the event.
