This online edition of the Hutchinson Herald supplements the weekly print edition of the Herald, providing additional photos, features and online links to community resources.

The print edition, published every Thursday, is available by subscription and single-copy sales at the Second Century Publishing office at 308 S. Main Street in Freeman. Single copies are also available at the Total Stop Food Store on Highway 18 in Menno and at Heritage Health Center on Fifth Street in Menno.

Open road
A truck drives east over the Highway 18 bridge west of Olivet Monday morning, Nov. 15. Work on the bridge has been ongoing over the course of the summer, as has other work on Highway 18 between Olivet and Highway 25. Seeding and and erosion control work will continue in the ditches and shoulders until weather does not permit them to continue. The South Dakota Department of Transportation is urging drivers to be alert for equipment and personnel on the road or shoulders and should be ready to slow down or stop if they encounter highway workers.
